Boo! The perfect delivery from @yorkghostmerchants on the full moon 🌕 #frozencharlotte

We visited York last September for a belated birthday weekend and finally visited the York Ghost Merchants shop, of which we had already made a couple of online purchases.

There are two ‘shops’ - The main store on the Shambles and The Dispensary, a five minute walk away. There are some good crystal shops and @thesocietyofalchemists - where my favourite perfume is from. The pub where Guy Fawkes was born is also close by. Definitely worth exploring the area. It’s a beautiful place, full of history and good energy.

We are hopefully going back to York for Ghost Week this year. It’s one of our favourite places ✨🙏

Excited to say I have been accepted as a member of the UK Reiki Federation at Master Teacher Level. 🙏✨🐝

This means I have been verified through all levels, have had an in-person attunement, can demonstrate lineage, am insured and have been practicing for over a year. Also, my references checked out and I will soon be listed on their directory. If you are curious about reiki, please get in touch 💚 hoping to take clients soon.

I’m really pleased as the UK Reiki Federation is the largest reiki-only professional organisation in Europe and is super respected in the reiki world.

There’s loads of CPD resources for me to get stuck into on the website and a rich and knowledgeable community, which I can now say I am part of. Looking forward to learning from the best and contributing where I can.

I learn something new every day on my journey to discovering more about reiki and exploring energy healing and the chakras. I’m so excited to see where it takes me. Now to get myself booked into a reiki session myself with the excellent @faithsholistics ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

This has been a lovely way to spend a rainy New Year’s Day. My 2025 altar. This is the first year I have created an altar for the new year. You can create one at the changing of the seasons or on the summer or winter solstice. It’s really up to you. I thought one for 2025 would be nice as I didn’t make one for the winter solstice.

I have included:
* Candles to welcome the lighter evenings slowly making their way back (even though I actually prefer the darker eves…)
* Reiki symbols to symbolise my continued journey
* A jar of intentions, hopes and wishes for 2025
* A money bowl (a red bowl is best, but I don’t have one so dark pink will have to do)
* My ParkRun barcode (I want to get back into running - I used to love it when I lived in Hawkwell)
* Decent lipgloss as a reminder to use the good stuff now and to speak my truth, even if I find it hard
* Heart chakra candle for Chakra bee 🐝 vibes and loving connection
* A simple crystal grid
* Shells and stones from the seafront as a reminder to spend more time in nature - in particular the estuary.
* Seasonal ivy
* A vintage southend on sea egg cup - wishing luck and prosperity for my home town
* Mr Blobby - a key feature of the altar 🤣one of my friends and I find him strangely inspiring! A reminder to be assertive, be authentic and find joy every day.

Several of these bits are gifts from friends and family over the years, I like to think this adds to the positive energy of it all. I’ve included a picture of my New Year’s helper, who definitely hasn’t been in and out of the house 100+ times because of the weather 😐

Have a go at making your own. It doesn’t have to be as big as this, even a few items that mean something to you and set in a place you’ll see a lot will inspire and influence your own story for 2025. Love and light ✨🐝

What a windswept end to 2024! I thought this poem was fitting for the weather we have right now. 2024 has been a good year for me, highlights include my continued #reiki journey and learning more about energy healing. My intention for 2025 is to learn more about the moon cycles and tides - all energy is connected 🌊🌚 have a lovely evening and I hope 2025 brings you health, happiness and healing ✨🐝

This week marks one year since taking my Level 1 Reiki and being attuned 💫🙏

✨What is an attunement? 🤔 An attunement raises your vibration, opening up your energetic field - enhancing your connection with universal life force energy (reiki!)✨

It is also the anniversary of me knocking drinking on the head for five months. It might not be a lot for some, but it has been the longest I have gone without touching a drop. I had gone out the night before and had such an awful day the following day - not physical, but mental and emotional, and knew I needed a clean break. I was ready for something different.

🌅The first picture was my ‘Day 1’ of no alcohol and taken during a long seafront walk when I just felt dreadful. Two days after this pic, I was on my Reiki 1 course. I’d already booked it a few weeks before, but felt more ready than ever for it.

🪬The 5 Reiki Principles from @dailyom is the second picture in this post. These are guidelines for daily living and easy to forget when we are rushing around working, seeing friends and family and doing everything else in between.

🐝🖤The third is a silver sheen obsidian bee from Etsy. I was looking for a silver sheen obsidian stone and this one came up. 💫 Silver sheen obsidian comes from Mexico and has a range of benefits. It is a protection stone - casting a shield of protection around you, a reflection stone - providing insights into the deeper parts of the soul as well as being a clarity stone and healing stone, ‘connecting the strength of the earth and the wisdom of the heavens’. The fact it is bee shaped just fills my heart with joy.

And so one year on, it turns out that awful ‘morning after’ was exactly what I needed. Quitting drinking for that period of time and starting to learn reiki instead of just receiving it has taught me so much about myself - my mental, emotional and spiritual self. I have met some wonderful people this year through my reiki journey and can’t wait to see where 2025 takes me 💕

I have met some wonderful people this year through my reiki journey and can’t wait to see where 2025 takes me 💕

Great opportunity to learn more about the universe and the connections that bind us all. 🌍 💫

Join lecturer in Physics and Data Science, Ed Macaulay for this FREE Eventbrite talk - or register and watch later (that’s what I’m doing 😉)

Here’s what he’ll be diving into and what you will learn:

1.Exploring Our Cosmic Home: We’ll kick things off by looking at our beautiful planet Earth and its companion, the Moon. Together, we’ll reflect on the stunning views shared by Apollo astronauts and what it means to truly see our home from above.

2.Journeying through the Solar System: Next, we’ll set our sights on our solar system. We’ll discuss the incredible scales involved and ponder the exciting possibilities of life beyond Earth. Who knows what we might discover?

3.Delving into the Milky Way: As we continue our adventure, we’ll wander through our own galaxy, the Milky Way. We’ll explore the dazzling stars and mesmerizing nebulae, getting a sense of just how vast and beautiful our galactic neighborhood is.

4.Traveling to the Cosmic Neighbors: Ready to accelerate? We’ll zoom past our nearest galactic neighbor, the Andromeda Galaxy, and into our local supercluster. It’s wild to think about the billions of galaxies that form the cosmic web!

5.Reaching the Edge of the Observable Universe: Our journey will eventually take us to the Cosmic Microwave Background. This marks the edge of what we can observe—what a breathtaking perspective!

6.Reflecting on Our Place in the Universe: Throughout our journey, we’ll pause to think about our own place in this ever-expanding universe. We want to explore how these cosmic insights can enrich our daily lives and perspectives right here on Earth.

7.Fostering Dialogue and Reflection: This workshop isn’t just a lecture; it’s a time for us to connect! We’re excited to create a space for dialogue, discussion, and reflection. There will be plenty of chances for you to ask questions, share your thoughts, and interact with others.

Today is #nationalpastryday and what better way to celebrate than with a mince pie 🥧

Did you know you can draw reiki symbols over food to infuse it with positive and healing vibes? The good intention clears any negative energy and raises the food’s vibrational frequency, supporting nourishment for the body and spirit. ✨

I have been doing this with my tea in the morning, taking a moment to be mindful and set intentions for the day. Energy healing doesn’t have to be an hour long ceremony every time. Just two minutes a day works wonders 🙏 #reikihealing #mindfulmoments
